Cherry Smile Wine Glass

"Smeared lipstick on a wine glass.... maybe? Dark thoughts and energy surround the edges, alcohol is a downer, and my shadow self is drinking it up. Or are they throwing it up? who knows. I guess we'll find out in the morning what feelings we were running from, and what feelings we were looking for in the bottom of this glass. Perhaps i did the work, now a rose will bloom from my wounds."

Depression is difficult. Suffocating, even. Facing your thoughts sober, is also difficult, if not more so. This is a piece i made from there. From the difficult. The weight of the world cannot stop a flower from growing, it provides the perfect soil for it to flourish, and out of my glass of depression, a rose bloomed.
